The Broch beach
We woke to a glorious Spring morning, which delighted me as I was heading off with my walking group to explore the old railway line from Lonmay to Fraserburgh, or the Broch as it's known in these parts. The good weather brought a really good turnout, with some 34 of us joining the walk today. I missed the last one a fortnight ago due to work commitments so it was good to have the chance for a catch up with so many kindred spirits. We were fortunate that the wind was at our backs all the way as it was quite fierce. It didn't spoil the enjoyment though of a lovely walk, and a well deserved picnic beside the sea at the end. Any ideas why food always tastes so much better out of doors? Even a humble sandwich!
