Common quaker moth

Another day in Uckfield, and tired and a little bored I forgot I had said I would photograph the street name, and came home by a completely different route through Nutley and East Grinstead. So, I will have to leave that for another day (or Historian31).
Today's blip is of a Common quaker moth Orthosia cerasi. This is a common early species, which flies in March and April, and comes readily to light. It ranges in colour from greyish, to orangey brown, with 2 large stigmata (splodges) edged with a thin pale line.
This beautiful specimen was one of the first moths out of my trap this season, and as such I think deserved to be my blip.
