Ring Flash...

I have been convinced all day that it's Thursday.

Even told Alan that this morning before he went to school as he was looking really tired and I was cheering him up with the thought of only one more day till a long lie. Then I had to correct myself. He wasn't impressed. The his home /school diary reports that he nodded off in the T-4-2 Café this morning. Oh dear, not good. Early night tonight.

Noisy day here. Builder been here trying to fix the leak at our French doors. Apparently the outside step is too high and angled incorrectly so all water soaked through to the inside. So the internal facings were removed, the step cut away (LOTS of noise and dust!) damp proof membrane laid, doors removed and refitted, new step laid and all sealed again. Hopefully this will do the trick. Old houses, always full of interesting surprises!

Stepdad John stayed for lunch then after he left I got to have another play with my new lens. Sneaked into the garden again but it was blowing a hoolie. Not conducive to macro photography so had to find an indoor blip.

Given that I think I have blipped just about everything that's blippable indoors, I was stumped for a minute till my ring caught my eye. I hadn't planned on using my macro ring flash until I'd read the instruction manual but in the end I thought, feck it! How difficult can it be?

So here you have the first shot using the new macro ring flash on my new lens. I am definitely going to have big fun with this.....as soon as I've read all the instructions of course ;-)))
