The end of an era

Mr H has 5 more day shifts and 4 more night shifts to work before he retires from the fire service. As these were drying on the line today it struck me that every week for the last 22 and a half years we have washed dried and ironed Fire Brigade T-shirts and shirts...the styles and brigade ( Served both London and West Yorkshire) have changed over the years but they have still needed a good wash! The weather forecast for the next week is not good so this may be the last time I have them hanging on the line. I won't miss ironing them!
