First Night at Cedar Manor

Which is the rest home my Mum has finally moved into today. She's pretty much settled - just has to learn where everything now is - given she is about 90% blind.

Last night's blip was her waving goodbye from her old place - a very poor photo unfortunately - and tonight's blip is the celebration complete with champagne and fish n chips (a family tradition for first nights in new homes) of the new place.

Sister Lizzie, friend Caro, Mum and her wonderful companion/helper person, Lorraine.

I think and hope she will be happy here - especially once she adjusts to the much smaller space. There will be lots more company and meals right down the hall, and it will be much easier to go visit her husband Theo who is in the hospital section.

I am completely exhausted! And will now start the process of picking up the pieces of my own life that have been so scattered over the past 4 months.
