Norwich Cathedral, England
Back in the beautiful city. They began building Norwich Cathedral 30 years after the Norman conquest, and it took 49 years to finish.
It was damaged by riots in 1272, but they repaired it, although after years of neglect it was derelict by 1644.
The good news is that after the Cromwells stopped pretending to be 'kings', Charles II rebuilt it. It's been tweaked here and there since including a new bit that the Queen opened in 2010.
