Egret Under the Pier

Come a little closer... I did and this beauty didn't mind a bit!

We spent the day on Gasparilla Island and I decided to use the waterproof camera instead of taking the big gear to the beach. I was so glad to have a camera with me... we saw dolphins, starfish, pelicans, herons, terns, sand pipers, and many more fun finds. It was sunny, moderately warm and a lovely day. We came upon this egret as we walked the beach. It didn't move away from me as I crawled along the beach to get a close image. In fact, I was able to get about 6 feet from it which was helpful with this little camera.
