Banking on a good evening

In Barcelona for the launch drive of the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe. Ready for petrolhead heaven tomorrow, driving the new Jag on some wonderful Spanish roads. Intrigued to discover that the hotel where we're staying tonight used to be a bank. That explains why the ceiling of the hotel bar comprises the metal fronts of a big collection of the old safe deposit boxes, many with their keys left hanging in them.

I only wish my dear old dad was still alive. Having spent his working life in banking, he would have been intrigued to see this place. Then again, he would doubtless have been distressed to know how ill regarded the banking profession is today. RIP Dad.
