The Arrival by CRW Nevinson

This is an internet version of a painting by the futurist artist CRW Nevinson, 1913, owned by the Tate Gallery. I saw a slide of it today at our "Shock of the New" art class which finished today, after 8 weeks.

We won't have any more classes in Stonehouse with Dr Alan Phillipson until October, and I'll miss them. In the meantime, I'll try and get to some art galleries. Both Steve and I did his course this term and have thoroughly enjoyed it, even if we did not like all of them! I was very struck by this one, although not at all keen on Futurism as a whole.
