Wimbledon Station

This was Wimbledon train station at about 8.10 this morning. It's normally busy at rush hour, but I've never seen it quite as bad as this. This photo doesn't really convey the amount of people, or the fact that almost nobody was able to move. The problem I think was that the District Line wasn't running... I say 'I think' because there was no announcements from station staff; it was all word-of-mouth between commuters. Compounding the problem, station staff were blocking access to the station platforms, making the concourse even more crushed than it needed to be. It took me 10 minutes to move from this point to the platform.
