There Is No Such Thing As Society

Day 70 of 365. I spotted this in the window of one of the few independent record shops still alive and well in London. It's strange seeing a very Thatcherite quote used to promote a punk song - but maybe the nihilistic quality to the words mean the band and this branch of Conservatism are not so far apart!
I hate getting political but the Tories are heading back to the bad old days of Thatcher, the nasty party is rearing it's ugly head again. I think what is happening is that there is a society, it's just becoming more and more unequal. The rich are getting richer and everyone else is feeling the "cost of living" crisis. Even simple things like a decent pay rise now and again have disappeared - I don't think I've had an above inflation pay rise for a very long time.
