Beckfoot Ruin

Beckfoot Lane. Bingley. W.Yorks. UK.


This is a small ruined building a few yards from Beckfoot Farm which dates to 1617 and was owned by the Knights of St John originally. It's also very near the famous Packhorse Bridge which enjoys grade 2 listed status. It's original use I don't know.


I wonder why empty ruins and deserted industrial structures are so appealing and popular as a photographic subject?
