Flag day

A bunch of flags in front of the Monument to the 1905 Uprising in Moscow, commissioned in 1981 to mark the 75th anniversary of that uprising during which factory workers joined an armed insurrection against the Imperial Government. Today marks a further stage in another uprising, in Crimea, and an announcement that the territory is being annexed to the Russian Federation.
