spring winds arrive

The tumbleweeds were tumbling and piling against fences. Occasionally they are unavoidable while driving and explode into a million pieces when hit.

Another common sight in spring is the wind-torn plastic bag snagged on a barbed-wire fence, indicating the direction and ferocity of the wind. This particular bag may have traveled many miles to take up residence on this particular fence.
