Stinky
These are the nuts from the female gingko tree in my father's front yard. Every year they ripen, fall from the tree, and when you step on them, they stink. Unfortunately the tree is close to the sidewalk, so the nuts fall there and get stepped on by anyone walking by (many people walk their dogs up and down this street). My father is 80 years old and can no longer manage to pick up the nuts. Last year we corralled all the grandchildren at Christmas to rake them and take them by wheelbarrow to the stone row. This year there was too much snow. So yesterday, Mr M and I raked them up and threw them on the back of our pickup truck and hauled them home to dispose of them here. It was quite a workout as neither of us is as young as we used to be!
It was a relatively sunny day, Riley enjoyed the ride and his long walk around their neighborhood.
