Winter at Þingvellir

Woke up this morning to discover the sun was shining in Akureyri instead of Reykjavík were I´m staying. The clouds must have "decided to follow me" yesterday. I thought it was a good idea to drive to Þingvellir the national park a 30 minutes drive from Reykjavík. I don´t remember to have been there before when everything is covered with snow. This was a great idea the sun was shining and the wind was calm but I was not the only one there. Þingvellir is one of three places in the "Golden Circle" a popular tourist route in Iceland. The other two are Geysir and Gullfoss. I think between 250 - 300 tourist was walking the path at Þingvellir.
