Pine Cone

An interesting pine cone found by BB at Dryburgh Abbey yesterday. I wonder what kind of tree it is from. You can't really tell from the photograph but it is about 2-3 inches in diameter.

Busy but unproductive day at work. Had to go to the optician and then do an emergency school trouser shop at lunchtime-given the holes in the knees that appeared last week. Also bought some new school shorts in anticipation of warmer weather.
