I bought this tape measure in Santiago in 2010. I thought the colour was a bit unusual for a tape measure.

Apparently these vinyl tape measures are prone to stretching after a while. I should really check it so that I can avoid my measured things being shorter than I had planned.

(Would the technical term for this be calibration or recalibration or maybe neither?)
