Icelandic Ponies

At a loose end last Friday, I decided to hire a car and drive east on Road 1 to see if I could reach Eyjafallajokull - THAT volcano. The countryside looks particularly stark in winter yet the hardy Icelandic Ponies stay out and weather the conditions. This small group was getting really stuck into a huge bale of hay.
