double whammy of classes (2 x 4hours), little sleep and critique and feedback and constructive criticism and advice and guidance and support and correction and thoughts and notes and comments and suggestions and questions and solutions and conclusions and judgements. I remain a feverish and run down. Not sure I was in the right frame of mind to be reminded so much that this is hard, and of the never-ending need to do better, try harder.

Walk home, fresh air. Cold here still but a bold blackbird holds out on a branch belting out its tunes. It doesn't move when I walk nearby, it is that determined to get heard. And it sounds marvellous: all syrupy and shrill, loud and fluting. His wee tail bounces with effort. And then some people turn the corner and I pretend to be looking at my shoes in the normal grey world.
