"What's the most frustrating thing about your condition?"
"I am my own worst enemy sometimes. The nicer people are to you, sometimes it can get really hard. When I'm having a bad day and I just want to do things myself. Nine times out of ten everyone's brilliant though. Actually, I used to live in Scarborough, I moved here just over two years now. I upped and left everything, my family, my friends, everything"
"Why?"
"I had a failed relationship, and I couldn't get over it. I gave myself six months, and every time a year passes or another six months, I'm surprised that I'm still living here."
"So it surprises you?"
"Yeah, because I never thought that I'd settle. I don't go back to Scarborough half as much as I need to. I still have family there, and they'll phone me and ask 'Are you still there?'. It's the best thing I ever did, and I wouldn't change anything. I'm dead lucky 'cos I've got a home life and a lot of people in my condition don't have that - Leeds is my home now."
