Roberton Law TuMP Celebrations

Twenty of us arrived on top of Roberton Law at about 12.30pm and Chief Chanter Lindsay Munro took charge of a special chant for the two 2000 Tumpers, Chris Watson and Chris Bienkowski, and the 3000 Tumper, Alan Dawson. Drink was drunk and cake was eaten before we headed off in various directions. A few fit baggers even managed to bag Little Law at 338 metres on the way.

The aggregate Tumps bagged by those on the summit was in the region of 48,000 but the arrival of Eric and Ernie shortly afterwards would have put it well over 50,000. They just missed us but caught up on the way back down and may have been first to sample Chris Watson's celebration cake.

Eighteen of us then drove over to Lamington to climb Startup Hill, Alan Dawson's 2000th Hump. More eating and drinking and chanting. The rain had stopped but the wind was still keen. The aggregate Humps bagged by the 18 of us was 28,300+ which just breaks the previous record set at the Triple HumpHoF celebration on Harter Fell in 2011.

Eight "Grey Beards" were in attendance plus Rick's 3 day grey designer stubble.
