Trades Club!

Doesn't look like the most salubrious of venues for a concert, but the Trades Club, Hebden Bridge is where we are hoping to see the folk duo Spiers and Boden this evening. We have been following these two extremely talented musicians for many years, both as a duo and as the central characters in the brilliant band Bellowhead. We were late realising that the duo were going to split up to go their separate ways and were doing a last tour together. It's a sell-out and we were pleased to get two seats here.

Hebden Bridge is a place I remember from my childhood and have visited on many occasions since. An old Yorkshire mill town, prone to flooding as it is built right in the valley, it is sort of trendy with organic being a key word and lots of multi-coloured hair and candles. Excellent coffee though.
