Such a good girl posing for me when she really wanted to check out what was going down in the kitchen. As I didnt get a chance to play with this loaned lens all day the very least had to be a quick dog portrait. SO shooting a 35 mm at 1.4 at a distance of 1.5 m really does give you a soft background. I see potential in this.
