Chrome changed into a full moon.

I know you loved the bike but I nipped out and shot the full moon. My blip had to change! :)


Another meetup group walk today, with some lovely people. I started near home, walking the easy route up to Newlands Corner and, doing a circular route, finished back at Silent Pool. It's not far but the hills are quite steep. What a day! Clear blue skies, the flora is out in abundance, as were the butterflies.

When we arrived at Newlands Corner it was an eye opener for some. On the way up we met scarcely anyone...at the top it was bedlam! The Kiosk had three positions open and the queues weren't short. It took us about 25mins to get a coffee, food was a much longer wait. Had I been alone I wouldn't have even contemplated it.

It's become a very popular meet up place for the big bikes. If only out of curiosity, it's a must for anyone who likes motorbikes. There must have been over a hundred, all polished for the occasion and the bikers strutted around in pride and admiration.

After four hours out in the best sun yet, my skin is now a shade of lobster red. I know I'll be white again in the morning but I could see that maybe another of the group won't be so lucky, despite the lotion.
