On the campaign trail

MrC leaving after trying to persuade us to vote for him in Sundays county council elections. He is one of the about 28 candidates on the Labour party list . Too complicated to explain the voting system which is not first past the post but more proportional representation. More to follow tomorrow.

Labour candidates are about as rare around here as bald headed American eagles - you might find one in the zoo or a museum but not in the "wild" life. Although other parties have better chances in these parish, mayor and county council elections, Bavaria is a pretty much a Conservative stronghold when it comes to state & national elections.

We will consider whether or not to vote for him but were not impressed that he refused to kiss the horses, just stroking the cats & dogs. AND he refused to swap his cabriolet for my tractor. Oh how I hate politicians you can't corrupt.
