Homework

Am not a huge fan of the prescribed, regimented, telling-me-what-I-should-be-doing-on-a-weekend-with-my-own-children homework for primary school aged children. Am even less impressed by a homework task that is pretty much impossible for a 6/7 year old child to complete any aspect of independently. Am more than happy to help with homework, but setting tasks like this becomes more of a contest for which parent can complete the task, instead of the children actually learning anything. Rant over.

Otherwise a lovely long lie in, picnic in the park, singing while we sewed, and a family spice mill to go with movie night.
