Water horses.....

......are mysterious creatures that appear and disappear as if by magic
These two are no different!
I had to make a journey to Grangemouth today......not a destination that figures highly with me : I am sure Grangemouth has its fair share of charm ,but I didn't spend too much time there once my business was concluded.
However , I did spend quite a lot of time on my return journey looking for these two!!
Despite their impressive size they are surprisingly hard to find........unless you happen to be on the M9 ,where they flash by at 70 mph almost within touching distance!
But I fear the polis would take a dim view of blipping and eschewing "due care and attention" would hand you "dangerous driving" !

So Off I went in search of them......15 m iles later, after a scenic tour of villages ,all of which had copious signs directing me to the Falkirk Wheel, finally arrived at the Park entrance.
But the road to the Kelpies was shut......so set off on foot! After 500mtrs came upon a barrier worthy of Fort Knox and the canal!!
On the other side of which was a path that one could walk!
Contemplated a swim,but realised this was just being thrawn !
So gave up and went home!
And will just have to revisit Grangemouth rather sooner than I had intended!
Sigh!!
