Kaffee und Kuchen

Falko Konditormeister is popular with local residents but I've not managed to get in to sample their wares. Its popularity means several people stand at the door looking in, a vain attempt to see if there is a free table. There isn't, so they walk on.

It also gets rave reviews from German tourists to Edinburgh, or should that be Edinburg. There are even local german speaking kaffeeklatsch who can empty the cafe of goodies in a blink of an eye.

For me it is too early for the afternoon, I'm ambling down towards Tollcross, and a national chain for my kaffee und kuchen.

Another, quieter, day perhaps.
