New House Geep
The most mature of the Northern Giant Petrel chicks are now fledging and heading off to sea. This one didn't seem to quite grasp the concept of flying and instead walked round the front of the base and sat down near the steps. I opened the door to invite it in but was met with a cold stare. Instead it seemed happy to sit there for a few hours before wandering off to the sea, presumably to swim away rather than fly. There's a few more adults about that way so hopefully one of them will offer a demonstration of what those big wings are for.
