Another project I had going this week was to get a garden shed built. We are pretty exposed here, so any thing that isn't bolted down will end up in Oz. Or at least next door. So I need some concrete and for that I need a hole.

The digger was working next door so I managed to get him to dig me a hole. It's a lot easier than a spade and wheel barrow, but I think a 14 tonne excavator might be overkill.

It never ceases to amaze me how a skilled operator can get such a huge behemoth of a machine to be so delicate. Our sewerage pipes are just a few inches below the surface. So far the hole has stayed free of smelly water....
