Library of Birmingham
Our second visit to Tom and Tommy in Birmingham was wonderfully relaxed. After an all-you-can-eat sushi feast we strolled over to the recently opened Library of Birmingham. It's a remarkable space, is enormously popular, and it was stunning to see the Shakespeare Memorial Room at the summit. I was hoping we'd get the chance for a glass of wine on one of the balconies, but it wasn't to be.
The wine was realised in the Jewellery Quarter, and drinking outside in the great weather gave us a great chance to catch up at leisure. The rest of the day involved a nice walk, a great deal of gin and some great food. We hadn't seen the boys for six months, which was regrettable, and I was so pleased to enjoy both their company again. They're both very special people and it was very kind of them to let us stay with them.
