Steadings

The exceedingly draughty weather continues, although it didn't hold us back from the dancing last night. Home at 2 a.m.

Today we were meant to join the Orkney Ramblers for a walk from Birsay to Skaill. However we weren't keen to turn out in the 'steady 55 mph' winds this morning. So instead I sprinted around to the Orkneyinga Saga Centre to try and get a Blip. It has resulted in this shot of the preserved steading and byre of the old farm, adjacent to the Bu. It also coincided with the sun trying to get a look in. We have noted that next week's forecast is 'quite breezy'.

More dancing tonight. It will include: Pelorus Jack, Black Mountain Reel. Pickaquoy Reel, the Reel of the Puffins, Caddam Wood, Brisk Young Lad etc.
