The Blue Pig...

This sign is outside a French bistro on High Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter. It's called The Blue Pig and here he is. The sign is like a throwback to the days when people being able to read was rare so they had to rely on signs like this one. If they had called the bistro Le Cochon Bleu it might have given it a fake French bistro feel. But as it's name is in English it, strangely, has the authentic feel of a bistro in a back street of the Left Bank of Paris...
