When I Grow Up

I am told these grow up to be skunk cabbage, I've experienced the joy of skunk smell - and i might have seen these as mature plants, but I have never seen them when they are babies like this, quite striking. I am hoping that a gentle whiff of skunk cabbage is as pleasant and gentle as that smell of that Fynbos Buchu or that exquisite lanolin type smell of the lower Chaparral we got in Temescal Canyon and Topanga. Does anyone know, am I in for a shock?
