Take a deep breath

Thank you for all of the good wishes yesterday. Although Jack has been given ten days to live it looks like that may be wildly optimistic. Mrs Smith's sister was coming up to Edinburgh from Liverpool to see her dad for the last time today but then, in a twist that only a truly sadistic scriptwriter would consider she was taken into hospital last night too and has been kept in for scans. So, as well as her own health concerns she is devastated in case she misses saying goodbye to her dad.

We needed to grab five minutes and relax somehow. What better way than by visiting the local Farmers Market, munching an alfresco bacon roll and listening to the soothing sounds of the Haddington Pipe Band.
