Robin Hoods Bay to Whitby on the Cleveland Way

A six mile up and down walk over stiles and steep steps ending at Whitby with the 200 Abbey steps down to the Old Town. Imagine my shock when three miles
into the walk I encounter a blind man helped along by his wife coming towards
me. Imagine my awe when by coincidence I met them again on the bus
home when, on enquiry, they had started from Whitby with the climb of the
200 Abbey steps. The last lines, or perhaps the title alone of Wordsworth's poem,
Resolution and Independence, speak volumes.
