Easter Eggs

Enduring symbols of Easter for slightly dodgy reasons. Supposedly they symbolise the stone that rolled away from Christ's tomb and an egg hatches new life and....well...you can fill in the rest! I'm a wee tad sceptical since the egg also fits in to the springtime symbolism of new life. Which came first?

Anyway, these appeared in another Crieff shop window and I rather liked them.
