Early morning over Eggborough power station, taken after on my way home after my night shift there finished. If you look carefully you can see Drax power station on the background, behind me is Ferrybridge power station.

It will be a shame that the possibility of these stations that have become landmarks could be gone within the next 5 years thanks to European emission restrictions and lack of government help to keep them open and more importantly keeping the lights on, but remember when the power cuts come we did our best to keep the running but your government wouldn't help.

Eggborough has been making electricity for over 40 year now and this year hit the target of 1,000,000 hours of generation. Its sad the think that it could all be over soon even though we are ready to go green we cant get help to do it, and then their is the 800 workers that don't know what their future holds and there familys that will be effected too.

These are my friends and family that I have worked with for over 10 years I will be sad when it all ends knowing some of them I will never see again but I will always have the memories of some of the best, honest, kind and caring people I have had the good fortune to meet, people that have influenced my life and been there through the good and the bad times, people who I have laughed and cried with.

When it ends I will miss them all.
