Surrounded by sound. No matter where you move the world around here has transformed into one huge sound system. Large lorries are laden with loudspeakers - if that is still the correct terminology - about 20 per load and most of which are about 3m by 2m - a veritable wall of sound.

Not much chance of a quiet doze today. Carnival is here.
