Bringing the past to life

Avebury Manor.
In 2011 this 16th century manor house was featured in a BBC programme, The Manor Reborn. In collaboration with the National Trust it was refurbished and each room reflects a different era of British history. Unlike in most other such places where you might have to stand behind barriers, visitors could handle everything in the rooms - you could even lie in the four-poster bed!
