Berberis

This time of the year never ceases to amaze me as new life is created. This is Berberis. I snipped this bit off the bush as it is too windy to take a photograph in situ. Here you can see the leaves and the flower that is just about to open on the upper left hand side. The whole thing can be covered by a 10p piece.
