The Prettiest Bird

Our rare Long-eared Owl continues in the Arcata Bottoms. I've been to visit with him several times since he was first reported. I'm leaving for spring break in the morning (a trip down south to San Francisco and Monterey!) so I thought I'd check in with him one last time, in case he flies the coop before I get back. Stunning as ever...and very obliging this evening.
