Cranes at Newington Armory

These two cranes were built for the Royal Australian Navy in 1974. They have a 3 ton capacity and were used for transferring armaments to and from ships.

The cranes were part of the RAN Armament Depot - Newington. The depot closed in 1999 after operating for 124 years.
