looking for spring

yesterday was 20 degrees. today was a respectable 45. tomorrow we're expecting to hit a balmy 60. i went outside to look for signs of spring. what i found instead were patches of snow, brown matted grass and tattered undergrowth (we live next to a park). i was about to give up when out of the corner of my eye, i happened to catch a small flower-like plant peeking out of the undergrowth. don't know what it is, but it was worth a blip :)
