Old Rose

Several days ago I captured the image of this rose when she was young, firm, perky, and beautiful. Today she is old, but certainly gorgeous. She's soft and supple and looks like a comforting place, at least if I were a bug and could snuggle. I know that makes no sense.

I so enjoy flowers -- in the yard, in the house. I often reject bringing them in the house off the bush because it will kill them. Then I see this photo and reality is that they die whether they are in the house or on the branch.

So those are my thoughts, as crazy as they are, for this moment in time.
