Conservation
I love this little hamlet just across the road from the hospital. The cottages and houses in Little Horton Green are 17th and 18th century, and built in lots of different styles. This is Little Horton Hall - the original old hall was demolished after falling into disrepair.
Francis Sharp Powell inherited the manor of Little Horton in 1844 and resisted offers for the land which is located on the edge of the industrial town of Bradford. He also financed the construction of All Saints Church (seen in several previous blips), and the day school.
I always feel a bit awkward filming someone's property - it does raise suspicions as to the motive, especially in an inner city area such as this. I'd like to photograph some of the other houses in the group, so I guess I'll have to put on my cloak of invisibility - will have to borrow it from the Am Dram wardrobe department!
