Newspaper Day

My monthly volunteer job is delivering 125 Newspapers to our neighborhood. This stack includes papers bagged and boxed. I bag them at home and then deliver by golf cart to the mailing tubes under the mailboxes. It is illegal to use the US Postal Service mailboxes for outside materials so we have separate mailing tubes underneath.

This operation brings in about $600 per month for the bike club with about 30 volunteers delivering nearly 5500 newspapers.

Tonight will be a thank you banquet for the volunteers and their spouses. It will be an elegant feast!
