New and old

Walked in the sunshine to the library at lunchtime, to get some travel guides (oo - holiday planning - yay!) and this dichotomy of new and old struck me as interesting. Brand new shiny building behind old warehouse with broken windows and looking thoroughly unloved. Inside the library it was a humming hive of activity - loads of people of all ages browsing books or using web terminals. Kind of what it was designed and built for.
