one day in France

Lunch again

You're probably thinking that I'm eating rather a lot of lunch lately, and you could be right! Today I ate at Le Cardinal des Mers which is perched on top of a cliff facing the pointe du Medoc at the mouth of the Gironde. Most restaurants have special menus at lunchtimes which are usually good value, so we had two courses, wine and coffee for 13.50 euros.
There were eight of us today and we had a table overlooking the sea, which was very flat and calm, the sun was shining and it was a lovely 21 degrees. All agreed that it's rather nice living in this part of France!
